The Isle of Jura single malt is a 10 year old whisky from the only distillery on the Isle of Jura. The finish is warming, with sherried notes and the characteristic briny taste of Jura whiskies. This Jura 12 year old has been aged for 10 years in. The palate is medium-bodied with flavors of nectarines, ginger and coffee. Jura uses large stills to allow for better reflux of alcohol vapours and to obtain a richer distillate. This single malt has a fruity nose with with notes of pepper and dark chocolate. Isle of Jura’s 10 Year Old has a light, warm gold coloring. This is in stark contrast to most of its contemporaries across the way. Tasting NotesDespite the fact that the water flows through a great deal of peat, the whisky itself is doesn’t have much phenol character.
